The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or sometimes called the City Quay - certainly by my Family who have attended the Church since 1939. As a child I attended the Church with my Parents on any Sunday morning that I was in Dublin.

I remember as a kid in the 60's all the large ships stretched out along the quay as far as the eye could see - somewhat different today. My Father and his friends used to drive off the ships into the Liffey as a past time.

The famous Windmill Lane wall - Dublin
Windmill Lane wall is famous throughout the music world as fans have covered the boarded-up two-story building with artwork for well over 20years. Now closed, the Windmill Lane Studios on the old site in Windmill Lane is where U2, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, Clannad & Sinead O'Connor have recorded in the past and it is widely accepted that most of the graffiti has been inspired by one of world's greatest rock bands - U2.
Windmill Lane is well tucked away off the Dublin Quays and surrounded by residential properties. As a matter fact Pearce Flats are located just behind Windmill Lane and I was not aware that such a famous street, in terms of musical history, was so close.

The Bank of Ireland, - First great Palladian buil
The Bank of Ireland situated on Westmoreland Street in the centre of Dublin. Built sometime between 1729 and 1739, it is undoubtedly one of Dublin's most famous buildings, The original architect was Edward Lovat Pearce, surveyor-general of Ireland, who unfortunately died before the work was completed; the remaining work was supervised by Arthur Dobbs. A Corinthian portico on Westmoreland Street was added in 1785 by James Gandon. It was used as the Irish parliament building during the period of independence from 1782 until the Act of Union in 1800, and was subsequently acquired by the Bank of Ireland in 1803 for £40,000. Although structural alterations have been made since then, many of the old features and chambers have been retained. Source http://encyclopedia.farlex.com Photo by Joe Burke 27/07/2008
